In addition to the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook that is scheduled for release this June, Acer will also has a new series of Netbook that runs Google’s cloud-based Chrome OS. The Acer Chromebook Netbooks will be available in two different versions, there will be a 3G version and a WiFi version, kinda how the tablets are being offered right now. Both versions will get a 11.6-inch CineCrystal LED-backlit LCD display with 1366×767 resolution, they will pack the power of an Intel 1.66GHz Atom processor with dual-core processing, an integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics card, 16GB SSD Storage and 2GB of DDR3 RAM. It also comes with a few specs that will prove useful to users who are into social networking, such as a 1.3-megapixel camera for video chats, it comes with HDMI output, built-in speaker and a 6-cell battery which delivers up to 8 hours of use.
The WiFi Version will support WiFi 802.11b/g/n while the other will support 3G with support for WWAN mobile network. Both version are already listed on Amazon but with no price, the Acer WiFi Chromebook and the Acer 3G Chromebook.
