Acer America has announced its new Aspire S3 Ultrabook model that is expect to launch on both the US and Canadian market. The Aspire S3 has a magnesium aluminum/alloy chassis that measures a mere 0.68 -inch and weighs only 2.983 pounds. The new Aspire S3-951 Ultrabook comes equipped with a 13.3-inch CineCrystal LED-backlit display with a 1366×768 resolution which features open cell design, it is powered by Intel’s Sandy Bridge Core i5 Processor, there is the presents of Intel HD Graphics 3000, up to 4GB of RAM, 20GB Solid State Drive and a 320GB Hard Drive.

The Acer Aspire S3-951 Ultrabook is also equipped with a large multi-gesture touchpad, a full size chiclet keyboard, there is a Crystal Eye 1.3 webcam plus you will get quality audio thanks to its professionally-tuned Dolby Home Theater v4 surround sound. Other specifications of the notebook includes WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0+ HSR connectivity, multi card reader, USB and HDMI ports and all of its connectors are located on the back of the device, keep the side sleek and clean but you can find the card reader on the left and right sides.

The new Aspire S3-951 Ultrabook also comes with Acer’s Green Instant On Technology that was developed to resume from Sleep mode in as little as two seconds and the Instant Connect Technology which can reconnect the Ultrabook to the internet from sleep mode in only 2.5 seconds. The new Aspire S3-951 Ultrabook kicks off sales on both markets this week for the price of $899 per unit.

  1. Glad to see something of a contender to the MacBook Air. It seems like PC makers finally understood that there is a market for a device in between a laptop and a stupid netbook.
