Acer Liquid C1 Smartphone launched in Asia

Acer has just launched a new smartphone in Asia, its called the Liquid C1, a smartphone that is powered by an Intel processor. Last year the company hinted that it would be launching a smartphone powered by a processor developed by Intel and its finally here.

Acer Liquid C1 SmartphoneThe Acer Liquid C1 comes equipped with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, powered by Intel’s Lexington-based Atom Z240 processor and will run the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out the packaging. The C1 from the company’s Liquid series was just launched in Bangkok, Thailand and according to Uday Marty, Intel’s managing director for Southeast Asia, says that the country is a key market because of its young mobile user audience.

Other hardware specifications of the Liquid C1 includes an 8-megapixel camera on the back and it features a 2,000mAH battery. There’s no word if the C1 will ever hit us stateside, but it now retails in Thailand for the price of 9,990 baht or about $335.27.
