Acer is showing off its new phablet device at the Computex 2013, dubbed the Acer Liquid S1. According to the company, the phablet device was designed to be a travel companion for professionals and adventurers, it comes equipped with a 5.7-inch touchscreen display with a 1280×720 HD resolution which provides a a tablet-like user experience is a smaller form factor.
The Acer Liquid S1 is powered by a MediaTek 1.5Ghz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The Liquid S1 comes equipped with a main camera supports Full HD video recording and the front camera features a 88-degree wide angle lens for shooting wide shots. It comes with pre-loaded with a range of apps, including the Float UI/Apps mentioned above, the AcerCloud Docs and the Live Screen app that allows live sharing of photos and notes with friends. A dual-SIM version is also available for users who want to use two numbers in one device.
Acer will ship the Liquid S1 in Q3 in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, UK and Germany, followed by Spain and Italy with a starting price of Euro 349.
