Amazon has expanded its line of Fire HD Tablets with the new Fire HD 6 Tablets which could be considered as the company’s cheapest and the smallest model yet. The device comes fitted with a 6-inch display which makes it even smaller than some smartphones on the market today, plus it will be sold with a $99 price tag.
The Fire HD 6 features a display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, its powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with the option to choose between a 8GB or 16GB storage version.
The entry-level device measures a mere 6.7? x 4.1? x 0.4? and weighs in at only 10.1 ounces, it offers a battery that offers up to 8 hours of playing plus there are two cameras on the device. There’s a 2MP rear camera, and a 0.3MP front-facing camera.
The 8GB version of the Fire HD 6 will be sold at retail for $99 but will have a “special offers” ad on the home screen, the 16GB version on the other hand goes for $119 with the “special offers” ad as well, or add $20 to the price of either model to remove the ads.
