Apple announces the new iPod Touch Media Player

In addition to the new iPhone 5, Apple also unveiled its fifth-generation iPod Touch Media Player. The new iPod Touch comes with a 4-inch Retina display, it gets a taller frame but not wider and a design that looks very similar to the iPhone 5.

The new iPod Touch comes with Facebook integration which enables users to post and update their status while on the go, it also gets the Siri feature which allows the user to ask the device to post for them. According to Apple, it is the thinnest and lightest iPod touch ever released by the company.

The media player is powered by Apple’s A5 dual-core processor which provides up to twice the processing power and up to 7 times faster graphics than the previous generation. With the new processor, users will experience a faster response from games plus it doesn’t hog your battery life: up to 40 hours of music or 8 hours of video on a single charge.

iPod Touch Camera
The iPod also gets a new iSight camera which Apple claims to be the best camera ever on an iPod touch. It packs a 5-Megapixel sensor which is seven times more than the previous generation, it has advanced optics, autofocus, an LED flash and face detection plus it ability to record Full HD 1080p video, it also gets a front-facing camera for FaceTime calls.

The 5th Generation iPod Touch will be available in a 32GB model and a 64GB model, 32GB model will go for the price of $299 while the 64GB model goes for $399. It will be available in the colors of Gray, Silver, Pink, Yellow, Blue and Red.
