In September it was revealed that Apple has discontinued the Apple iPod Classic, and the CEO Tim Cook made it clear to us, as to why the company decided to kill off the classic version of the iPod.
According to Tim Cook, the main reason why the company device to kill off the iPod Classic was due to difficulties finding parts for the device, especially the 160GB hard drive for the iPod.
He also mentioned that the company didn’t think that re-designing the iPod Classic was worthwhile, as the demand for the iPod Classic has dropped.
Nowadays people mainly use their Phones or tablets to listening to music, since their are many free music service available from either of the devices. Apple also offers a wide varieties of the iPod such as the iPod Touch, iPod Nano and the Shuffle.
