Apple’s new Tablet, the iPad 2 will be available from RadioShack starting today. Knowning that “the Shack” is one of the most popular consumer electronics location in the US, Apple should profit from a few sales as it second-generation iPad 2 will be available there. Ever since Apple made the announcement of their iPad early 2010, the tablet market literally blew up with other tablets from major manufacturer as well as clones off the Chinese market and as a surprise to many, Canadian-based company RIM also launched its Blackberry PlayBook eariler this year.
But to me its seems as if the iPad 2 is a correction to the first-generation iPad, as Apple made a few changes that helps the iPad 2 a more powerful device. Apple added a new dual-core A5 processor along with the new iOS 4 plus they added a thinner casing which overall made the device way lighter, they added a front-facing camera that enables Apple Facetime like that feature found on the iPhone 4.
Another great new feature of the iPad 2 is its Smart Cover which magnetically attaches and aligns perfectly, it opens and close which wakes up the tablet or put it to sleep. It goes for the same starting price of $499 for the 16GB WiFi-only model.
