Apple has announced a variant of the iPhone 4 called the iPhone 4S, similar to what they did with the iPhone 3 with ‘S’ meaning speed. It is designed very similar to its predecessor but it runs the iOS 5 with a few updates. A few updates that comes with the iPhone 4S includes an improved battery life up to 8 hours of talk time on 3G and up to 40 hours of music playback. It comes with dual operating modes such as GSM and CDMA dual-mode radio, it is powered by a A5 dual-core chip that includes dual-core graphics which is supposed to deliver 2x processing power and a 7x graphics boost compared to the A4.
The Apple iPhone 4S also comes with a new feature called ‘Siri’, a personal assistant that works with voice commands/questions. With this new feature the users will be able ask about weather conditions, traffic, route, and Siri will do a search to deliver the required data. It also has the ability to read messages, help set up meetings, change time settings, check contacts, make Calendar notes, compose emails and a few other features.
The Apple 4S comes in the option of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB and will go for the price of $199, $299 and $399, respectively along with a two-year contract. The iPhone 4S will go on pre-orders starting October 7th, while other markets will be getting the new Smartphone such as US, Canada, Australia, the UK, France, Germany and Japan on October 14th plus 28 other countries will get the device as of October 28th, 2011.
