In addition to the iPad Mini, Apple unveiled its all-new iMac computer which will be available in 21.5-inch and 27-inch models. The latest generation of the Apple iMac measures only 5mm thin at the edges and is 40% smaller by volume than its predecessors.
Both models of the new iMac supports up to 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, they are powered by quad-core Intel Core i5 processors, they get up to 32GB of RAM and an integrated FaceTime HD 720p camera. The new generation of iMacs can be configured with the new Fusion Drive storage option that combines a 128GB of flash memory with a 1TB or a 3TB hard drive.
Apple has announced that they will start selling its latest generation of iMac before the end of the year, the 21.5-inch model will be released in November 2012, while the 27-inch model will be launched in December 2012. The 21.5-inch model will start at a base price of $1299, while the bigger model comes with a starting price of $1799.
