Apple updates its MacBook Air with Sandy Bridge ProcessorsApple has announced its updated version of its 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch MacBook Air which is now powered by the Intel Huron River platform which utilizes the use of Intel’s Sandy-Bridge Core i5/i7 dual-core processors. The new updated version of the MacBook Air comes with a body that measures only 0.68-inch at its thickest point, it comes with the option of a 64GB, 128GB or 256GB Solid State drive, an Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics card and up to 4GB of RAM.

Like the new 27-inch LED Monitor, the new series of MacBook Air also comes with an Thunderbolt port, it comes with Wireless Internet connectivity (WiFi 802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, a FaceTime webcam and a battery that delivers up to 5 hours of operation to the 11.6-inch model and up to 7 hours of operation to the 13.3-inch model.

The Apple 2011 Series of the MacBook Air all comes with Mac OS X Lion pre-loaded and is presently available in four different configurations with the 11.6-inch version starting at $999 and the 13.3-inch model starting at $1599.
