Apple's first Thunderbolt 27-inch LED Cinema DisplayApple has announced its first monitor to utilize the Thunderbolt interface, it is a 27-inch monitor that features a LED Cinema Display with a 2560×1440 pixel resolution and a Thunderbolt port. According to Apple, the Thunderbolt Monitor is the ultimate docking station for your Mac notebook, it allows users to connect to high performance peripherals, network connections and audio devices as well.

Specifications of the Thunderbolt 27-inch LED Cinema Display continues with three USB 2.0 ports, one FireWire 800 port, one Thunderbolt plug, a Gigabit Ethernet connector, an integrated FaceTime HD Webcam, built-in 2.1 speakers, a MagSafe charger, an ambient light sensor and comes with the protection of its aluminum and glass enclosure. The Apple Thunderbolt Display is expected to become available in the next 60 days for the price of $999.
