Apple’s Lightning to HDMI and Lightning to VGA adapters coming soon

Apple Lightning to HDMI
In addition to the Lightning to 30-pin Connector Adapter, Apple recently made it public that customer can expect to see an Lightning to HDMI and Lightning to VGA adapters coming soon. An Apple spokesperson told The Verge that Lightning to HDMI and Lightning to VGA cables “will be available in the coming months.”

As far as we know the Lightning to 30-pin Connector Adapter doesn’t support video output. Once available iPhone 5 users will be able to watch their favorite TV shows or movies on bigger screens thanks to this new accessory.

In truth, you should be able to connect an iPhone 5 directly to a second screen with a new Lightning video cable once they arrive, but you’ll need one of those cables due to the 30-pin adapter’s limitations. Still, Apple says the 30-pin adapter does support analog audio out, as well as USB audio, syncing, and charging.
