ASUS is also at the CES in Las Vegas where they just announced the upcoming Asus Eee Pad Memo 7-inch tablet that is expected to be launched on the US market sometime during Q2 of this year. The device has been around for a while but still haven’t seen the light of day, it was also on display at the previous CES and Computex 2011. So much time has passed that a few things will have to change before it graces the shelves, instead of Android Honeycomb, it will be getting the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 OS.
Other specs remains the same, the Asus Memo 7 comes equipped with a 7-inch WXGA IPS touchscreen display with a 1280×800 resolution, it will be powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm 8260 dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and will be available in 16GB or 32GB storage options.
Other specifications includes WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, a 5-megapixel camera on the rear with autofocus and 1080p HD video recording and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera as well. A SIM-card slot is also present which means it might enter the U.S market from one of the four major carriers plus it also comes pre-loaded with applications such as MyPainter, MyNet, MyCloud, Asus Sync and other productivity and entertainment applications.
