Asus just rolled out its first model from the K-series on the Japanese market, the Asus K55vd. The Asus K55vd comes equipped with a 15.6-inch LCD display and powered by Intel’s latest 3rd generation Core i7-3610QM “Ivy Bridge” quad-core processor.
In addition to the new Ivy Bridge series getting added, the laptop also features the NVIDIA GeForce 610M graphics card with 2GB VRAM and utilizes NVIDIA’s Optimus Technology which helps the device to deliver a battery life and better performance.
Other specifications of the new Asus K55vd includes, a 500GB Hard Drive, a DVD Burner and up to 8GB of DDR3 memory. It features Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, an integrated Webcam, a multi-card reader, USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, HDMI and a 6-cell battery. The new K55vd launches on the Japanese market later this month, no pricing details were found on the new device.
