Only a few days after CES 2013, ASUS decided to announce its new MEMO Pad ME172V Android Tablet that comes with a 7-inch display and is expected to enter the US market for an extremely low low price of only $149.99. The ASUS Memo Pad is expected to be launched in the US this April and will come with mid-range tablet specifications.
The ASUS MEMO Pad features a similar design to the Google Nexus 7, which was also made by ASUS but its not as powerful though. The Tablet is powered by a 1GHz VIA WM8950 processor with Mali 400 Graphics processor, it features 1GB of RAM and come in the options of 8GB or 16GB storage and a microSD card slot.
The comes equipped with a 7-inch 10-point multitouch display with 350-nits of brightness, LED-backlit and 140-degree viewing angle, 1024×600 resolution. There’s a 1-Megapixel camera with BSI sensor, F/2.0 lens which supports 720p video recording. The MeMO Pad ME172V also comes with a 4270mAh battery that is expected to offer 7 hours of continuous use.
