In addition to the 7-inch MeMO Pad, Asus has has launched in the US market a bigger MEMO Pad that runs on Google’s Android operating system. The tablet has been dubbed the MeMO Pad Smart (model ME301T) and comes equipped with a 10.1-inch IPS touchscreen display with a 1280×800 HD resolution.
The 10.1-inch tablet features a super slim body that measures only 9.9mm and lightweight at 580g. The display features a TrueVivid Technology allowing the device to deliver crstal clear images, plus it also delivers a 170-degree viewing angle.
The tablet has a 5 Megapixel auto focus main camera with flash and a 1.2 Megapixel front-facing camera, and it supports 100 continuous burst shooting. It is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, there’s 16GB of internal storage plus a microSD/SDHC card slot for expansion. The MeMO Pad Smart supports Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity plus it runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right out the box.
ASUS will start selling the Memo Pad Smart 10.1-inch Tablet via Amazon for the price of Memo $299.99. Also launched is the Folio Key Bluetooth keyboard case for the MeMO Pad Smart.
