Asus has finally decided to release a final availability date for the Padfone Tablet. The Padfone is a 2-in-1 combo of a smartphone and a tablet-like dock, more like the Motorola ATRIX 2 and the LapDock 100. They have decided to release the device during Q1 of 2012 due to the fact that the device is still in the works. According to Jonney Shih, the Padfone will run Google’s latest Android release, Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) and it may be selling through carriers in various markets.
There has been any other details announced for the Padfone, but we do know that the smartphone part of the Padfone features a 4.3-inch touchscreen display and the dock includes a 10-inch display. Its Q1 release date simple means we’ll be hearing more about the Padfone at the CES 2012.
