Asus Transformer Prime TabletYesterday we talked about Asus plans to release the Padfone sometime during Q1 of 2012 but we forgot to tell you guys that Jonney Shih, the chairman of Asus also recently showed off the company’s upcoming Android tablet, the Transformer Prime at the AsiaD conference. The Transformer Prime is a 10.1-inch tablet that is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 4+1 Processing unit and comes in a body frame that measures a mere 8.3mm thick.

The chairman also showed off a few of its capabilities as well as a few of its specifications which included its WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, it comes with an mini HDMI port, an SD card slot, a keyboard-boasting dock which delivers a lap top like experience and it runs a version of the Android OS even thought we are not sure which. No pricing details were announced either so we will just have to wait until more details are released.
