Asus has announced its new Zenbook Series which will be available in two different models, the UX21 and UX31 Zenbooks. Both devices were recently unveiled at an event in New York, the Zenbook UX21 features a 11.6-inch display with a 1366×768 pixel resolution while the Zenbook UX31 gets a 13.3-inch display with a 1600×900 pixel resolution. Both Zenbooks feature an aluminum alloy casing up to 0.67-inch thick at its thickest end and 0.11 at the thinnest point.
It features the Super Hybrid Engine II power management technology, there is the instant-on feature that resumes you to your work in just about 2 seconds, there is a custom cooling technology which uses a V-shaped channel and a unique copper fin design for improved airflow and the USB Charger+ feature that enables the user to charge up devices faster.
Specifications of the Zenbook UX21 and UX31 includes WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 connectivity, a SATA 6.0 Gbps solid state drive, they both comes with stereo speakers backed by Bang & Olufsen ICEpower technology, the UX21 gets a 5 hour battery life while the UX31 gets a 7 hour battery life from a single charge.
There are five different models of Zenbooks expected to come out on the US market starting today, the cheapest of the five models is the UX21E-DH52 which starts at $999, it is powered by a Core i5-2467M Processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM and a 128GB SSD while there is also a high-end UX31E-DH72 that is powered by a Core i7-2677M processor, 4GB of RAM, with a 256GB SSD and goes for the price of $1,449.
