Nokia and AT&T launched the Nokia Surge on the AT&T Network lastweek. The Nokia Surge is a landscape slide phone identical to or could be called the US version of the Nokia 6760 which is to be launched in Europe during the third quarter of this year.
The Nokia Surge comes with basically the same specs as the 6760 Slide Phone, it boast a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD display, a 2 megapixel camera that has the capability of shooting QVGA quality video. There is a full slide Qwerty Keyboard, built-in GPS receiver which is accompanied by AT&T’s Navigator service.
The difference between the Europe 6760 and the Nokia US Surge is the camera, the Surge comes with 128MB internal memory and supports microSD cards up to 8GB. The Nokia Surge is available now at AT&T for $79.99 with a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate.
