According to a post spotted on The Verge, Barnes & Noble is planning the launch of a less expensive NOOK Tablet which is schedule to take place later this week. Rumors states that the new tablet will come equipped with 8GB of internal storage capacity which is half the size of the present model now in stores.
The current NOOK Tablet goes for the price of $249, which is $50 more than the Amazon Kindle Fire which happens to be NOOK’s main competitor. Reportedly, the new tablet will be available starting on February 22 which will be at the level of the Amazon Kindle Fire and will go for the price of $199. Walmart plans to start selling the new tablet starting 12:01 a.m. on February 22.
