Barnes & Noble has announced the Nook, which is coming to take some of the Amazon Kindle consumers. The Nook features dual screen, the most E ink Vizplex electronic paper display which reads just like a printed page, and below there is a 3.5 inch color touchscreen LCD which is powered by the Android OS.
The Nook has a 2GB Internal Storage which will store up to 1500 books and support for microSD cards up to 16GB. It supports book in the formats of EPUB, eReader, PDF, MP3 and JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP files. There are other specs such as built-in 3G wireless networking, with free wireless from Barnes & Noble via AT&T, the nation’s fastest 3G network and free Wi-Fi in all Barnes & Noble stores.
