The BBC has announce that their new BBC iPlayer Radio App which was launched in early October has now passed the 1 million download milestone.
The new BBC iPlayer Radio app allows users the ability to access dedicated pages for all BBC’s radio channels and shows, and it also grants access to individual pages for each radio station with catch-up features for each.
According to the BBC, the new Radio iPlayer app was designed to make radio a more social experience, giving their listeners the ability to share the music they’re currently listening to with friends. BBC also announced that an Android version of the app will be arriving sometime in 2013.
Like the iOS version, the Android version will also support playback over both 3G and WiFi networks. If you currently own and iOS device you can download the iOS version of the app from the iTunes App Store for free.
