There has been unconfirmed reports of BlackBerry coming with a Tablet Device dubbed the BlackPad or Cobalt to come and kick Apple’s iPad in its ass. Research In Motion has not confirmed this report, however we heard that the BlackPad or Cobalt Tablet will have a 8.9-inch Display, which is said that RIM has ordered from Hon Hai. According to electronista, it will be smaller and thinner than Apple’s iPad and will be compatible with BlackBerry OS.
It will be featuring 3G along with a WiFi connection and also the option to sync with your BlackBerry Smartphone. RIM co-chief Mike Lazaridis recently cast doubt on tablets, although he noted that any tablet had to be more than just a substitute for a notebook.
