Blackberry has just made its fourth quarter results public, and according to the results the company suffered a much smaller loss than its previous quarter. The company’s fourth quarter revealed that Blackberry only suffered a loss of $423 million compared to the $4.4 billion lost from the previous quarter.
The company overall revenue dropped to $976 million, they also announced that a total of 3.4 million smartphones were sold in its last financial quarter, however only 1.1 million of these were BlackBerry 10 devices, the rest were BlackBerry 7 handsets.
BlackBerry now has only a total of $2.7 billion which is a decrease from $3.2 billion for the previous quarter, and shares have risen around 6.6 percent in pre market trading, since the news of smaller losses were announced. CEO, John Chen must be doing something right, as he was able to curve the company loses to only $423 million from a whopping $4.4 billion in only one quarter.
