Buffalo Technology has unveiled its new SSD-NS/PM3P Series of Solid State Drives that will be available in the storage options of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. The series will feature a Marvell controller and Toshiba-made MLC (multi-level cell) NAND Flash memory. The drives comes in the 2.5-inch form factor and will also be bundled with a 3.5-inch adapter.
The SSD-NS/PM3P Series utilizes the SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, the 256GB model will get 256MB of DRAM cache, the 512MB cache for the 256GB and 512GB models. All models features TRIM support, NCQ support and delivers a transfer speed of up to 500MB/s.
The 128GB and 256GB models will go on sale in Japan in mid-March for the price of $300 and $588, respectively while the 512GB model will launch later in the year for $1,112.
