Canon has unveiled its new DSLR digital camera that sports a few improvements over its predecessor, the Canon EOS 5D MK III. It comes equipped with a 22.3-megapixel sensor that has the ability to record 720p Full HD videos at 60fps as well as 1080p Full HD videos at 30fps.
The EOS D5 is powered by the same DIGIC 5+ image processor as the previously released Canon 1D-X but it is reportedly 17 times faster than its predecessor, the Digic 4. The 5D also features a 61 AF-point system, an ISO level of up to 102,400 and a shutter lag down by 59 milliseconds.
The Canon EOS 5D MK III features GPS function, there’s a 3.2-inch LCD display, a 100% Intelligent Viewfinder, it supports both CF Type I and SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards plus it is also compatible with over 60 EF lenses. The Canon EOS 5D MK III is expected to be launched in late march for $3,500 body only.
