[CES 2012] Other than the PowerShot ELPH 110 HS Point and Shoot, another from the Canon PowerShot Series unveiled at the CES was the PowerShot G1 X prosumer digital camera. The PowerShot G1 X is equipped with the DIGIC 5 image processor to create the HS system that delivers an outstanding low-light performance up to ISO 12800 and high-quality images in the most difficult of lighting conditions.
The G1 X Prosumer Camera features a 1.5-inch 14.3-Megapixel Canon CMOS sensor making its the camera to get the largest sensor to date for a PowerShot camera thus being able to deliver up to nine times more light sensitivity and helping to produce amazing depth-of-field and high-quality images in tough low-light conditions. Other features of the PowerShot G1 X includes High-Speed Burst HQ feature for shooting images at high speeds, up to 6fps at full resolution, it also features a High Dynamic Range (HDR) shooting mode, Optical Image Stabilizer, Intelligent IS that automatically choose from six different modes and full HD 1080p video recording.
Canon’s PowerShot G1 X has a 3-inch LCD display, it comes with an HDMI output for viewing captured content on an HD screen plus it has a memory card slot that supports SD/SDHC and SDXC memory cards. Will be released this February and will go for the price of $799.99.
