The CapTel 800i was designed and developed specially for users who suffer from hearing loss, with the new CapTel 800i users who suffer from hearing problems can read caption of what the user on the other end is saying. Caption appears on all calls unless it is turn off, the telephone features a LCD display with Adjustable font sizes and colors, the 800i also has the capability to store up to 95 frequently called numbers.
The CapTel 800i requires an High-Speed Internet Connection and a standard analog telephone line as well. The voice part is carried over the telephone line, the captions are carried over the Internet connection.
