CherryPal announces its affordable CherryPad Android-Powered Tablet PC. It features a 7-inch resistive touchscreen display with a 800×480 pixel resolution and housed in an aluminum case. The CherryPad 7-inch Tablet will be shipped running the Android 2.1 OS which the manufacturer plans to upgrade to 2.2 Froyo for the forth quarter of 2010.
The CherryPad Tablet is powered by an Samsung ARM11 800 MHz Processor, 256MB of DDR2 RAM, and a 2GB Flash Memory card. Other specifications includes WiFi 802.11 b/g connectivity, there is a microSD card slot, a gravity sensor, USB port, 3.5mm headphone jack, built-in speakers and microphone. It also has optional external 3G modem and there is a Polymer 3200 MAH battery that offers up to 8 hours on a single charge.
The CherryPad Tablet also has access to the Android Market with over 80,000 apps plus the manufacturer has assured us that it can even play 3D games as well.
“The CherryPad is neither an iPad killer nor an iPad clone, it’s a completely different product designed for a different market,” Seybold said.
