Dell announces the Alienware Aurora and Alienware Area-51 Gaming Desktops

Dell has announced a new fleet of high-performance gaming rigs for the gaming fanatics. The new line-up includes the Alienware M15x which was mentioned in an earlier post, the Alienware Aurora ALX and the Alienware Aurora which adopts the title of the most upgradeable MicroATX Alienware Desktop Ever, then there are the Alienware Area-51 and Area-51 ALX which adopts the title of the most upgradeable Alienware Desktop Ever.

The Alienware M15x was mentioned in an earlier post, so there is no need to re-post old news, the Alienware Aurora is the most upgradeable and the Aurora ALX is the most powerful MicroATX desktops Alienware has ever created with both packing the power of the latest Intel Core i7 processors. Both the Aurora and Aurora ALX comes with an option of dual 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics cards, 2TB of hard drive and up to 24GB of DDR3 1333MHz memory or 12GB DDR3 1600MHz memory. Pricing for the Aurora and the Aurora ALX starts at $1299.


Alienware Area-51 Gaming Desktops
The Alienware Area-51 and Area-51 ALX were designed to target the extreme gamers and tech enthusiasts who require the latest and most advanced gaming systems. Both Area-51 line of desktops offers the power of Intel’s Core i7 processors factory overclocked to an intense 3.86GHz for peak performance. The systems also offers quad-GPU power of dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 graphics cards, cable-free hard drive bays that support both 7,200RPM and 10,000RPM drives, solid state drives and RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 10 configurations and up to 12GB DDR3 RAM. The price of the Alienware Area-51 and Area-51 ALX starts at $1999.

Both Aurora ALX and Area-51 ALX offer technology options beyond their respective standard editions.
