Dell introduces its new Latitude Z Series which came and adopted the title of not only the world’s thinnest 16-inch Notebook but also the world’s lightest. The Dell Latitude Z measures 1/2 inch thin and weighs 4.5 pounds with a four-cell battery, it is powered by a 1.4 GHz. Intel Core 2 Duo processor, dual 265GB hard drives and 2GB of RAM.
The most notable feature of the dell Latitude Z is the wireless charging, it relies on a UWB radio for point-to-point communications, this eliminates the need for need for power cords by using a dynamic power transfer. This optional feature will cost an additional $395 when you buy the notebook. There is a 16-inch HD WLED display with a 1600×900 resolution, an advanced two megapixel camera with Dell Capture technology which will allow the user to scan save business cards to Microsoft Outlook contacts, Dell’s FaceAware which will automatically locks out other users when a user steps away from the laptop.
The Latitude Z has a silky-touch backlit keyboard along with a “Latitude On” mode which provides instant, interactive access to email, contacts, calendar and the Web while giving the notebook an extended battery life of up to 12 hours.

The new Dell Latitude Z business Notebook has a starting price of $1,999 and will be available as of September 28th in Europe and Asia, as well as Canada and the U.S.
