Dell XPS 13 and Precision M3800 to offer Ubuntu Linux OS

Customer who choose to configure the Precision M3800 Mobile Workstation with the Ubuntu Linux OS will see a $101.50 knocked off the original price, reducing the retail price to $1533.50 which is still pretty pricey. The device will come preloaded with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS which means the operating system won’t support the notebooks Thunderbolt port, but upcoming Ubuntu 14.04.2 maintenance release will add initial support for that feature.

You also have the option to run Ubuntu Linux on the Dell XPS 13 as well, which comes equipped with an Intel Broadwell processor, weighs a mere 2.6 pounds and an 5.2mm thin bezel around the display which allows Dell to squeeze a 13.3 inch display into a notebook the size of a typical 11.6 inch model.
