Dell has announced its new thin, XPS 15z model of Notebooks. It is the latest model from the company’s series of XPS notebooks, it packs a 15.6-inch WLED-backlit display with a 1366×768 or 1920x1080p resolution. It also gets a chassis that was constructed using aluminum and magnesium allow, the chassis measures only 0.97-inch thick but weighs 2.51kg. Users get to choose between two of Intel’s second generation (Sandy Bridge) Core i5 or i7 dual-core processors, it gets a GeForce GT 525M graphics card with 1GB or 2GB of VRAM, up to 750GB of storage and up to 8GB of RAM. The notebook also supports Intel’s WiDi (Wireless Display) technology and comes with some standard specs including WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, a 9-in-1 card reader, a 1.3-megapixel webcam with dual-microphones, USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 1.4 and an 8-cell battery that offers up to 8 hours of operation time. It also comes with a DVD burner and runs the Windows 7 Home Premium OS for the starting price of $999.
