Along with the PowerLite Home Cinema 705HD Projector, Epson also introduced the PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 and the 8500 UB Projectors in the United States. Just like the PowerLite 705HD the Home Cinema 8100 and 8500 projectors features Epson’s 3LCD technology and is equipped with the Fujinon OptiCinema Multi-Lens Optics System, E-TORL (Epson Twin Optics Reflection Lamp), and Advanced Dust Filtration System.
The PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 features a 36000:1 contrast ratio, 1800 lumens brightness and a Dynamic Iris system for contrast improvement while the PowerLite Home Cinema 8500 UB features a 1600 lumens brightness, a 200,000:1 contrast ratio, Epson’s C2Fine and UltraBlack technology.
The PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 also offers Super-resolution technology along with a built-in Silicon Optix HQV Reon-VX scaling and de-interlacing video processor.
The Epson Home Cinema 8100 will be available in late-October and the Home Cinema 8500 UB will be available in November with retail prices of at $1599 and below $3000, respectively.
