Eurocom has introduces its new Panther 4.0 Mobile Workstation, Mobile Server and Gaming Station powered by Intel’s Sandy Bridge-E platform. The new mobile workstation was designed with an ultra heavy duty design for unintentional abuse to the device, it is a fully upgradeable system and high-end.
It comes equipped with a 17.3-inch Full HD LCD display with a 1920×1080 pixel resolution, there’s the option for the buyer to choose between Matte, Glossy or 3D displays. The Panther 4.0 is powered by Intel’s new 6 core, 12 thread, 130W desktop Intel Core i7-3960X Processor Extreme edition, it supports up to 32GB of DDR3 RAM and up to 4TB storage with RAID 0/1/5/10.
The Panther 4.0 features modular VGA technology and uses can choose from three graphics cards – NVIDIA GeForce 580M with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM for high-performance PC gaming, NVIDIA Quadro 5010M with 4GB of VRAM or the AMD Radeon HD 6990M with 2GB VRAM for those looking for a high-performance workstation class performance. Other specification includes a 2 Megapixel Full HD webcam, a backlit keyboard, built-in 10/100/1000Mb Base-TX Ethernet LAN, THX TruStudio Pro audio system, HDMI output, USB 3.0 connectors, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.
It is equipped with a Trusted Platform Module 1.2 (TPM), finger print reader and Kensington lock port. The super-notebook also supports two 100W graphics cards in NVIDIA SLI or AMD CrossFireX mode for enhanced performance, ExpressCard 54/34 for external and extra I/O ports as well as Magma ExpressBox expansion. The new Eurocom Panther 4.0 ships in March and goes for the price of $2649 per unit.
