- Available in 40mm and 44mm sizes
- An LTE and WiFi variant
- Sans rotating bezel ring
We just got a first look at the new Galaxy Watch Active 2 via leaked images that surfaced online. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 features the same sleek new device as the Galaxy Active Smartwatch launched earlier this year.
At first glance you’ll notice no changes at all with the new smartwatch, it has the same slim design which is still a plus for those of us with smaller wrist; a 40mm case and no rotating bezel.
Basically, there isn’t much difference with the earlier model but according to the information being circulated with the images, the major change is connectivity.
Leaked: Samsung Galaxy Watch Active vs. Galaxy Watch Active 2
The most noticeable difference is the missing rotating bezel ring. The Active 2 will be available in two sizes; 40mm and 44mm.
There will also be an LTE variant and a WiFi variant, unlike the earlier Galaxy Active which was only available with WiFi connectivity.
Leaked details suggest the LTE variant will possess a 340 mAh battery inside while the WiFi model will be equipped with a smaller 237 mAh battery; both greater than the 230mAh battery in the previous Active Smartwatch.
There were other minor details leaked along with the images such as the color and sizes of the buttons on the side of the watch, however, since its a leak and not an official confirmation from Samsung we’ll just have to take this small amount of details and digest it until we have an official word from the Korean-based company.
