FujiFilm just announced the launch its latest addition to its series of FinePix cameras, the FinePix S8400W which gets a lens that has a slightly longer zoom range than its predecessor plus it features WiFi connectivity. Similar to the FinePix S8300 and S8200, it features a 16-Megapixel BSI CMOS image sensor with ISO sensitivity from 64 to 12,800.
The FinePix S8300 and S8200 comes equipped with a 40x and 42x zoom lens, the S8400W zooms a bit further featuring a 44x optical zoom Fujinon lens. The zoom range can be extended to 88x with the firm’s intelligent Digital Zoom super resolution technology, it has Optical Image Stabilization system for reducing camera shake and deliver blur-free images, plus it features an autofocus speed of 0.3 seconds.
It has the ability to capture high-speed movie at 480fps (320 x 120 pixels), 240fps (320 x 240 pixels), 120fps (640 x 480 pixels). There’s an easy grip surface and a secondary zoom control on the side of the lens barrel. It requires the use of four AA alkaline batteries which promises up to 300 shots. FujiFilm will start selling the S8400W in May for the price of $349.95.
