FujiFilm has updated its line of rugged XP Series with a new four-proof model, the FinePix XP200 that comes with WiFi connectivity. The new FinePix XP200 comes as the successor to the XP170 that was released last year, the new XP200 gets even tougher with waterproof protection up to 50 feet/15 meters (10 meters for XP170), shockproof to 6.6 feet/2 meters, freezeproof to 14°F (-10°C) and Dustproof.
They also redesigned the battery safety lock with double seals for enhanced protection plus it has a rugged rubber exterior that keeps the camera in your hands even if you are wearing ski gloves. It comes equipped with a 16-megapixel sensor, a 5x optical zoom FUJINON lens and features CMOS-shift image stabilization to capture blur-free and clear images.
The FinePix XP200 is also capable of supporting 0fps high-speed continous shooting at full resolution or up to 60fps at a lower resolution. It is also capable of Full HD video recording plus it comes with in-camera movie editing, plus there’s a high-speed Movie mode for capturing action up to 360fps.
Like its predecessor, it comes with built-in WiFi connectivity for wireless image transfer to iPhone, iPad or Android Smartphones or Tablets running the free FujiFilm Camera application.
FujiFilm plans to release the new FinePix XP200 Ultra Rugged Camera in May, it will be available in the colors of black, yellow, blue and red for $299.95 per unit.
