Fujifilm has also expanded its XP series with the new FinePix XP30, a 14-megapixel point-and-shoot camera that packs a Fujinon 5x Optical Zoom, 34x digital zoom and a 28mm Wide Lens. The FinePix XP30 comes equipped with a 1/2.3-inch CCD image sensor that has primary color filter and other notable specifications such as CCD Shift Image Stabilization, integrated GPS which allows geotagging on videos and images, a rugged exterior which protects the device from the elements: it is waterproof up to a 16.4ft depth, it is shockproof and will survive drops up to 4.9ft, dustproof and freezeprrof which makes it perfect for using in the winter in temperatures up to -10°C (14°F).
The rugged FinePix XP30 has a 2.7-inch LCD display which was optimized to be viewable in even bright conditions, its lens is protected by reinforced glass and there is also an anti-slip rubber grip which gives the user a firm grip during tough conditions. The XP30 comes with an array of shooting functions such as the Motion Panorama which allows the user to take three photos which are automatically stitched together to make one big image.
It also utilizes Fujifilm’s Tagging Technology, a function that lets you tag images for search optimization or even upload them directly from the device to your favorite social networking site such as Facebook or Youtube. It comes with only 10MB of internal memory bu there is a SD card slot that supports cards up to 32GB, the Fujifilm FinePix XP30 comes in the colors of Orange, Green, Blue, Black and Silver.
