G-Technology, a subsidiary of Hitachi has just announced its new G-CONNECT Wireless Storage and WiFi access point device. The G-CONNECT comes equipped with a 500GB Storage capacity and allows wireless connectivity using WiFi 802.11b/g/n standards which allows the user to access and stream data or multimedia content to a compatible device including Smartphones, Tablets or Laptops. It also supports wired LAN connections via its Ethernet port which transforms the G-CONNECT into a wireless access point for up to five WiFi-enabled devices.
The G-CONNECT from G-Technology also has the ability to stream up to five standard-definition or three high-definition movies simultaneously. It supports DNLA-certified devices and also gives the option to enable passwords to protect the users’ content. The G-CONNECT with 500GB of storage is presently up for sale with a white finish for the price of approximately $200 per unit.
