Gateway has finally joined the new portable computing trend by releasing their first 10.1-inch Android Tablet called the Gateway TP Series A60. It comes equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a 1280×800 pixel resolution, it gets powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC with dual-cores, it comes with 16GB of built-in storage, 1GB of RAM plus an SDHC card slot which supports cards up to 32GB.
We all know that Gateway is a subsidiary company of Acer, so we strongly believe that the new TP Series A60 tablet is a rebranded version of the Acer A500. Other specifications of the TP Series includes a 5-megapixel camera on the rear of the device, a front-facing 2-Megapixel camera, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS navigation, two USB ports and a body that measures 1.3cm thick. They company has also added a 6,520 mAh battery that allows up to 8 hours of operation from a single charge.
