Gateway has unveiled three new notebooks for the US market, they are the ID47, NV55 and NV57 Notebook PCs. They all come from the Gateway ID and NV Series of Notebooks, the first of the trio is the Gateway ID47 which comes with a 14-inch Wide LCD display with a 1366×768 pixel resolution while the NV55 and NV57 both share 15.6-inch similar screen size. The Gateway ID47 gets the choice of Sandy Bridge Processors, ample Hard Drive storage and up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM. Other specifications expected from the ID47 includes WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DVD Writer, an integrated 1.3-megapixel webcam, USB 3.0 connectivity, Dolby Home Theater v4 Audio and up to 8 hours of battery life from its non-removable battery, the based model of the ID47 starts at approximately $700.
The Gateway NV57 also gets powered by Intel’s Sandy Bridge series of processors but its 15.6-inch counter, the NV55 gets powered by the recently released AMD Fusion A-Series APU. They both share a 15.6-inch LED-backlit display with 1366×768 resolution, they both get either an integrated or discrete NVIDIA graphics card plus other notable specifications. These includes WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 3.0 connectivity, an HDMI output, integrated 1.3-megapixel webcam, a memory card reader and a battery that promises only four hours of battery life.
All three models are presently available, the NV55 and NV57 Notebook PC and both based models starts at $530 but there are also other configurations available.
