Getac announces its new semi-rugged notebook which was specially designed for field service as well as military applications including vehicle and office use, the Getac S400 Semi-Rugged Notebook PC. The Notebook has meet the MIL-STD 810G Specifications, meaning it is military certified and will survive shock and vibration as well as a 2.5 ft. drop on 6 faces. It comes with a 14-inch Sunlight Readable LCD display or an optional 700 NITs display with multi-touch capabilities, it is powered by either an Intel Core i3 or i5 processors, Intel HD graphics or GeForce G310M, a 320GB Hard Drive or SATA 80GB SSD and up to 8GB of RAM.
The S400 also offers water resistant keyboard with optional backlit keys, an integrated 4-in-1 smart card reader and finger print reader, three USB 2.0 ports, docking port and a 7800 mAh battery. Other specifications includes WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. Bluetooth 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, optional 56K ITU V.92 modem, 3G Gobi 2000module and GPS with internal antenna.
The Getac S400 Semi-Rugged Notebook PC will be released on the market starting at the end of November and will be on sale for a price of $1799.
