gobandit, a German Company has just unveiled its new gobandit GPS HD action Sports Camcorder. It is the world’s first action HD camcorder it is targeted at videographers/athletes participating in extreme sports with fast-moving action. The IPX7-certified device waterproof device has a built-in SiRF GPS receiver which records the location when filming. The SiRF Receiver also calculate speed, distance in 3D, altitude and your position on a map.
The Gobandit has a 5 megapixel CMOS sensor which supports the recording of 720p resolution videos at 30 frames per second, and snapping still images also in 3 to 5 second intervals at 5 megapixels and save everything in the 2 GB of built-in memory space or on an up to 32GB SDHC card. It has a 135 degree wide angle lens that can rotate up to 100 degree to each side. The waterproof camera will ship in April and is available now on pre-order for £299.99 ($473).
