Last week we heard rumors that Google was thinking about opening their own retail stores in the U.S. where they would sell products from their line up and other company’s devices that uses their technology, it turns out that the rumors were not true as the internet giants has denied the rumors.
Andy Rubin has confirmed to All Things D that Google does not have any plans to open up Google retail stores, “Google has no plans and we have nothing to announce,”. Well this probably only means that they don’t have any plans to open up a retail store this year, but this does rule out the possibility that they will in the near future.
Google is always expanding their businesses, and seeking new technology so don’t take this likely they might just come and beat Microsoft to it, they could be on a secret mission.
