Google’s latest sequel to its Nexus Series of Smartphones has been officially announced and the press shots leaked as well. The new Google Nexus 5 is manufactured by LG for the search engine giant and with the new device the company has moved away from 8GB models released last year, and shifted gears to a higher starting capacity for the Nexus 5.
Even though the company has yet to announced its official release date, we have just about all there is to know about the new smartphone already. It will come equipped with a 4.95-inch display with a 1080p HD resolution, powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
The smartphone also comes with NFC (Near Field Communication), a 2,300 mAh battery with inductive charging, an 8-megapixel and 1.3-megapixel camera combo, and 4G LTE support. It uncertain as to what version of the Google Android Operating System it will be running but according to previous leaks it will run the Android 4.4 KitKat.
