Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 renamed to Terminal Galaxy S5

Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S5 has outsold the Galaxy S4 during its first month of sale, according to the sales stats revealed by the South Korean-based company, the Galaxy S5 sold 11 million units in the first month of sales compared to the S4’s 10 million units sold during the same time frame.

Now we know why, because Samsung is currently working hard at marketing the handset and because of their enormous marketing budget, Samsung just bought an airport-sized publicity stunt. If you travel into England via Heathrow during the month of May, you may realize that Terminal 5 at the airport has been temporarily renamed to Terminal Galaxy S5, a very smart way to gain awareness for the product.

For two weeks, starting May 19th, the owners of the “world’s busiest terminal” have allowed Samsung, in partnership with JCDecaux, to re-brand all Terminal 5 signage at entrances, security points and gates as “Terminal Samsung Galaxy S5.”
