It seems as if the Apple iPad is about to get some real competition, all courtesies of the guys over at HP. Engadget got their hands on an internal HP presentation which compares the new HP Slate tablet to Apple’s iPad. The presentation has details on the full specifications of the HP Slate as well as pricing detail.
The HP Slate will feature an 8.9-inch touchscreen display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, it is powered by an Intel Atom Z530 processor running at 1.6GHz, Intel UMA Graphics Chip and the capability to playback Full HD video in 1080p. The device will be available with a choice of 32GB or 64GB of flash storage, 1GB of DDR2 RAM which isn’t upgradeable, runs Windows 7 home premium with a customized HP UI, a Multi card reader which supports SD/SDHC/SDXC cards, a 3.5mm heaphone jack, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI out and a SIM card slot for the optional 3G modem.
According to the presentation, the HP Slate Tablet will be retailed $549 for the 32GB model and $599 for the 64GB model. So what about the WiFi Model HP?
